The Wine
This Provençal rolle has a nose of fresh fruit with a floral touch. The mouthfeel is full, with hints of white peach and a lemony touch on the long finish – a signature of the terroir.
Château Paquette
Château Paquette is the story of a family that fell under the spell of a unique place more than 60 years ago: A vineyard nestled in the heart of the Provençal pine forest, set on the volcanic rock of the Estérel and lulled by sea spray.
Rolle is also called Vermentino – a white grape variety of Turkish origin, which was first imported into Italy by Genoese traders before being spread in the South and in Corsica. It likes warm climates where the soil is dry. It gives fat and well-balanced white wines, without acidity. Its wines are very aromatic, fine and balanced, they present delicate aromas of pears, citrus fruits and white flowers with a hint of hazelnut.
Pairing Suggestions
Ideal with fish such as sea bass, haddock, snapper or sea bream. It also goes well with a fresh, herby salad.
